TL comp
I'm assuming that your asking about the amount for your car. Having a shoulder injury does not affect the value of the car. Values can vary for the same year, make and model of vehicle based on the condition of the vehicle prior to the loss. Some questions: What was the mileage, was there any prior damage, rust, paint scratches, parts missing, any customer parts or equipment. Was the offer made by your carrier less deductable or by the clmnt carrier. Are you keeping the salvage. $750 is a pretty generic number, many times a carrier will use a number like this for a vehicle that is considered basic trnasportation. It sounds like there maybe adjustsment made to the value of your vehicle based on condition ratings. I know this is not an answer to your question but much more goes into determining the value of the vehicle that just year and make. Last, most carriers use a valuation service to assist in the amount. This should be provided at the time of the offer. Did you get a copy and what service.

The other guy's insurance company is not your friend
Remember, two things. First, you are in a negotiation. If the insurance company's first offer was $750, you can bet your last dollar that figure is lower than the amount the claim is actually worth.
Second, if you are dealing with the other guy's insurance as opposed to your own carrier, remember that they are trying to protect the losses of their insured even if it is to your detriment, because it saves the company money. So don't expect them to be fair to you. They have no obligation to you. But they do have an obligation to your adversary in this claim. Don't trust them to deal in your best interest. It won't happen.
